Happening Today: Closed for Sunday Rest

Our physical space is closed today, but we are celebrating the legacy of Gwendolyn Brooks, born June 7, 1917, who became the first African American author to win a Pulitzer Prize. While her works aren’t currently in our physical or digital collections, you can read some of her most iconic, soul-stirring poetry for free online right now by visiting her featured collections on Poets.org!
