Winter Reading

Youth and Adult Winter Reading

Youth Winter Reading

Please join us virtually for winter reading. This Winter Reading program is designed for youth age 5 to 12 to encourage life-long reading habits. The theme for the books is SNOW! We have included a suggested reading list for elementary and middle level readers; feel free to select other books at your reading level which have winter themes or settings–eBooks, audiobooks, and graphic novels all count. Once you’ve earned enough points you’ll receive a completion certificate you can print and a prize! Contact the library when you complete the program.

How it works:

  • Register for a free account with READsquared.
  • Log and submit each book you read by clicking on “Logging.”
  • Earn badges and unlock mini games for every book you read.
  • Contact the library for a curbside pickup prize upon completion of the program.

Please call the library to request books via curbside pickup or with any questions about the reading program.

This program is made possible by a Stewart’s Holiday Match grant.

Virtual & Curbside Adult Winter Reading

Join us virtually for winter reading. Pick 5 winter-themed books to read this winter and log them in your READsquared account to keep track! A winter themed reading list is included, but feel free to choose your own “wintry” book—eBooks and audiobooks count too.

Online: How it works:

  • Register for a free account with READsquared.
  • Log and submit each book you read.

Curbside: Annotation Bookmarks and Book Rating Cards

  • Schedule a curbside pickup from the library for:
    • Book annotation bookmarks to keep notes on your favorite reads.
    • Book rating cards.
  • Then, rate your reads & return the (anonymous) rating cards in the library book drop box; we will feature favorites on the library’s website and social media.

*Curbside pickup of bookmarks is optional. Please call the library with book requests via curbside pickup or with questions about the program.
